Nina Rupena is a Bosnian-born Australian artist living and working on Ngadjuri Country in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Her current studio practice explores the textures, colours and changing rhythms of the surrounding landscape, working with natural pigments and acrylic to create paintings rooted in place, memory and connection.
Across painting, illustration, installation and collaborative public art projects, her practice has explored themes of memory, migration, place, and the relationship between people and landscape.
